Lewiston is the second-largest city in Maine, located in Androscoggin County, and is home to over 36,000 residents. Auburn is the fifth- largest city in Maine, and is home to nearly 23,000 residents. A former industrial center, Lewiston is home to Bates College, the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, and two significant regional general hospitals: Central Maine Medical Center and Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. Auburn is home to Mount Apatite Park, one of the best places in Maine for mineral hunting. These twin cities meet at the falls of the Androscoggin River. CPPC is currently active in downtown neighborhoods of both communities.
